If you’re committed to start your purification based on a Detox Diet, you should know that discipline and perseverance are important. The benefits will be achieved to the extent you can maintain the routine for several days, and you’ll be able to do this only if mid term you feel comfortable with detox way.

2. Choose a Detox diet that fits with your lifestyle

There is no standard detox cure. For some, this concept means drinking only fresh juices and for others, it means to stop just for a few days: alcohol, caffeine, refined or processed foods and animal protein. Even though the most popular are the strict diets and radical detoxification, nutritionists prove every day that most people tolerate better a Detox Diet type if you include lean protein and raw fruits and vegetables that can be chewed than if you only feed from juices.

3. Do NOT exercise while you are with Detox diet
The detox cures try to end up with an erratic and unhealthy food way in order to stimulate and reset the metabolism. All of this, is much easier to achieve if we take a break from our usual routine of physical exercise. Because trying to maintain the same level of performance when we are undergoing a limited and restrictive diet can bring adverse effects on muscle mass, which requires a larger caloric intake to recover after a workout session. Maintaining a restrictive Detox Diet and workout routines at once, can make you feel exhausted, even cause nausea. In some cases you can lose muscle mass, which can cause injuries and reduce metabolism rate, which is exactly the opposite of what we want to achieve within this diet.

5. Do not use the Detox Diet as a purge

It’s not recommended to subject yourself for a few weeks to a detox diet with exercise overdose, if a few days later, exhausted and demoralized, you fall into self-indulgence and abandoned in the previous bad habits.

 

Get started with Detox diet

If you want to try the Detox diet, then we show you the necessary guidelines to follow. Pay attention, no time to waste!

  • Make 5 meals a day (2-3 hours between meals)
  • Eat raw (fruits, vegetables, carpaccio, etc..), boiled, steamed, or baked foods. Above all, you should avoid fried, battered, breaded, preserved in oil or pickled foods because they contain a plenty of calories
  • Always take soy milk or soy yogurt, but you can only take one a day
  • Avoid eating fruit at main meals, nor as a dessert. The fruit should be eaten as a snack between meals, especially for the second breakfast or snack. You can make juices or smoothies with fruits and vegetable so you can increase your fluid increase
  • If you’re starving, eat as a snack, two multigrain biscuit breads per day, preferably at breakfast and always before 12h
  • Drink at least 2 liters of fluids per day, mostly water (teas and infusions are allowed)
  • Limit the salt intake
  • Do NOT consume alcohol

DAY 1

Breakfast

  • Red or green tea with a honey teaspoon
  • 1 chopped fruit cup

If you are starving you can take 1 and a maximum of 2 slices of multigrain bread / biscuits with olive oil and grated tomato. May also be substituted by 1 Special-K bowl  with soy milk, but only twice a week.

Mid morning snack

  • 1 chopped fruit cup or 1 soy yogurt
  • 1 cup of green tea or 1 cup of Aquarius (lemon flavor)

Lunch

  • 1 mashed leeks bowl with zucchini or pumpkin, especially do not add potatoes, cream or cheese
  • 2 slices of steamed fish with asparagus
  • Water and a healthy tea with saccharin

Snack

  • 1 orange, a strawberries bowl or 1 soy yogurt
  • 1 cup of green tea or 1 cup of Aquarius (lemon flavor)

Dinner

  • Endive salad with pomegranate
  • Scrambled eggs with asparagus and garlic
  • Red or green tea with a honey teaspoon

If before going to bed you’re starving you can have a baked apple (no sugar) or soy yogurt.

 

DAY 2

Breakfast

  • Red or green tea with a honey teaspoon
  • 2 slices of pineapple

If you are starving you can take 1 and a maximum of 2 slices of multigrain bread / biscuits with olive oil and grated tomato. May also be substituted by 1 Special-K bowl  with soy milk, but only twice a week.

Mid morning snack

  • 1 kiwi or 1 soy yogurt
  • 1 cup of green tea or 1 cup of Aquarius (lemon flavor)

Lunch

  • Vegetable soup
  • Salad with tuna and tomato
  • Water and a healthy tea with saccharin

Snack

  • 1 slice of melon or 1 soy yogurt
  • 1 cup of green tea or 1 cup of Aquarius (lemon flavor)

Dinner

  • Sautéed green beans.
  • 1 slice of steamed salmon and one bowl of steamed broccoli with mayonnaise
  • Water and tea with a honey teaspoon

If before going to bed you’re starving you can have a baked apple (no sugar) or soy yogurt.

DAY 3

Breakfast

  • Red or green tea
  • 1 kiwi

If you are starving you can take 1 and a maximum of 2 slices of multigrain bread / biscuits with olive oil and grated tomato. May also be substituted by 1 Special-K bowl  with soy milk, but only twice a week.

Mid morning snack

  • 1 watermelon bowl or 1 soy yogurt
  • 1 cup of green tea or 1 cup of Aquarius (lemon flavor)

Lunch

  • 1 bowl of mashed leek and asparagus (without potato, cheese or cream).
  • A piece of steamed, baked or grilled fish (salmon, tuna or hake) with salad of endive and nuts
  • Water and a healthy tea with saccharin

Snack

  • About 50 grams of nuts and dried apricots, prunes or raisins
  • 1 soy yogurt
  • 1 cup of green tea or 1 Ice tea (without sugar)

Dinner

  • Vegetable soup
  • A salad with tuna, roasted peppers, and sprouts
  • Water and tea with a honey teaspoon

If before going to bed you’re starving you can have a baked apple (no sugar) or soy yogurt.
